Threadbare grandkids get new clothes – Grandma is sewing!

How far can you make a £50 ($64) donation to Reach the Children go? Trustee Kate Gibson and Uganda In Country Manager, Ronnie Kyambadde, made it all the way to the market in Kampala to stock up with material, threads, needles, zips and buttons.   Another generous donor has already bought a sewing machine for the grandmas at RTC Uganda’s Luwero Centre so they could add sewing to their abundant skill sets.   Samuel, a local trainer, has agreed to teach the grandmas three days a week for the next three months; they are eager to learn how to use the sewing machine so they can make much needed clothes for their grandchildren. That’s quite a stretch!

Why don’t you make a small donation TODAY and let us show you just how far we will go to make the very best use of your donation.
