This is Justus Suchi, the Country Director of Reach the Children Kenya, who has dedicated twenty years of service to the communities of western Kenya. Here he is demonstrating container gardening, showing how vegetables can be successfully grown in discarded plastic containers. Lecturing throughout the area he stimulates local families to try new varieties of vegetables and has recently introduced communities to Brussels sprouts and Kale cabbage which is becoming very popular here – even the children eat their greens. Two seasons back he introduced drought resistant rice which has been a great innovation.
