Reach the Children UK congratulates its associate Reach the Children Uganda (RTCU) on gaining formal Uganda Government recognition as a registered NGO. This official status is quite significant, enabling much greater recognition with the Department for International Development (DFID) and other funding organisations around the world. RTCU has been very successful over more than 15 years administering donor funding from amongst others Civil Society Fund, Global Fund, USAID and Uganda Aids Programme. Its audit procedures managing donor funds are considered exemplary. Many of RTCU’s appointments have been repeat engagements, underlining the competency and trust major funders have in the RTC Uganda team.
