Testimonials
I have been privileged to be associated with Reach the Children UK and their work in Kenya and Uganda for more than a decade. I have loved their hands on approach to improve the lives of underprivileged children and their families. The work done with schools and communities have made a real difference to lives, health, education, hospitals and so much more. The time taken to research needs and how they can help teach that the community can pull together is uplifting…. it is more than handouts… it is about working together to make a difference. Following up on past projects is also key to the work that they do. Long may they continue.

I love the ethos of this charity. They don’t just drop off a classroom or water pump wrapped up in a bow. They work with the community; buying the materials as local as possible, boosting the economy, and getting the parents and neighbours involved in the process. It’s a charity that not only provides practical solutions but love and compassion as well.
I have had the great opportunity to work with RTC UK on three occasions and feel what a great privilege it has been to be able to experience some of the most life changing things. I would recommend it to anyone as it really puts things into perspective and makes you appreciate the most important things in life. Working with children that have nothing but are beyond happy is something to strive for. I will never forget this life changing experience that I have had the pleasure of doing.
As I travelled to Uganda in late 2012, I found the greatest joy in helping those in need! I use these words because of the culture, love and friendliness of the people of Uganda. One of my fondest memories was during a visit to a school in Kampala, we installed a stone pathway and rain water harvesting unit to their complex. This enabled them to have access to clean water and less flooding in the buildings.
This experience changed my view on life. I realize just how much I have in life. I developed great friendships and felt a great sense of doing my part in the world.
