Earlier this year we held a Story Writing Competition in three Ugandan schools. P6 and P7 students responded enthusiastically;  here are two of the prize winning stories from Richard and Hafuswah, together with a photo of some of the students who took part.

As you read the stories, you will readily identify challenges that students in rural communities in Uganda face.  They are, however, keen to learn all they can, realising that education is the way to a successful future

Reach the Children were encouraged by the results of this pilot programme and have now expanded the competition, embracing other schools in Uganda who are taking part.
