On World Water Day, Reach the Children UK is proud to work with its implementing partners in Kenya and Uganda, protecting springs in rural areas.
Global World Water Day focuses attention on the importance of fresh water and advocates for the sustainable management of fresh water resources, which is a major focus of Reach the Children UK.
Spring protection is one of the greatest strengths of Reach the Children Kenya, one of our implementing partners, having protected over 150 springs in Kakamega County, Western Kenya. The impact of their work is being recognised, with the local Ministry of Water and Health seeking out information on water protection and recommendations for implementation from Reach the Children Kenya.
This year’s World Water Day theme is ‘Leaving no one behind’.
