Africa’s children tell their story

Children’s stories that relate to the challenges of living their lives in rural Africa always touch the hearts of readers. Reach the Children UK wanted to find out what the next generation thought of its projects and the impact in their community, so decided to take up the challenge of collecting these stories and sharing them with our generous supporters.

RTC UK set up a pilot competition in Makata, Namina and Mayangayanga Primary Schools in Mukono District, Uganda, which is open to students in years P6 and P7, age 11-13 years. The competition is set before their exam period in May. Each Head Teacher believes the competition will be great for their students, helping them with their language skills. They also suggested it was good to know that someone so far away has cared enough for their pupils to pursue this programme.
