How do you help a scared child at the health clinic? You give them a teddy.
Going to the Medical Centre can be a frightening time for a small child so how do you help to make it less stressful for them? You give them a knitted teddy. A group of knitters from Luton in Bedfordshire, England spent many, many hours knitting teddies with donated wool, all shapes and colours. Three vacuum sealed bags of teddies were taken to Kenya with us – the teddies were squashed and mutated but once the bags were opened and the air got in, they magically came back to life and worked their magic with the children at Mtito Andei Clinic in Kenya.
